Reset (“the app”) is a habit-tracking app for Android and iOS, published by Jheremiah (jheremiah.dev@gmail.com).
Everything you enter stays on your device. The only thing the app ever sends anywhere is an anonymous crash report if it crashes — nothing else, ever.
Starting with version 1.1, if the app crashes it sends an automatic crash report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) so the bug can be found and fixed. A crash report contains technical information about the error: the stack trace, app version, device model, and operating-system version. It does not contain your habits, your progress, your name, or any personal identifiers, and no data is sent when the app works normally. Crash reports are used solely for fixing bugs and are retained by Sentry for 90 days.
The app includes an “Export data” feature that copies your data to your device’s clipboard as JSON. What you do with that export is entirely under your control.
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Notification scheduling does not involve any server.
Reset does not read or write any health data (such as step counts from Apple Health or Health Connect). Steps are entered manually. If a future version adds an optional health integration, it will ask for your permission first and this policy will be updated before release.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data. You can also erase everything from within the app via Profile → Reset app data.
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
